WordPress Maintenance Plans for Small Businesses

WordPress care plans and maintenance support

Keep your WordPress website secure, reliable and useful without hiring a full-time developer or committing to an expensive agency contract.

Our WordPress maintenance plans provide practical ongoing support for small businesses. Choose a light WordPress care plan for routine maintenance or a larger maintenance package when you need reserved developer time for fixes and improvements.

FNO Services Europe provides remote WordPress maintenance and technical support for small businesses in the UK, Europe and internationally. We help with routine maintenance, website errors, hosting problems, updates, backups and the small technical tasks that often remain unfinished when nobody is responsible for the website.

You work directly with an experienced developer who can understand the website you already have, identify the real problem and recommend a practical way forward.

WordPress problems we can help you solve

A business website may look simple from the outside, but it depends on WordPress itself, themes, plugins, hosting, email delivery, DNS, SSL certificates and third-party services working together.

Website maintenance and updates

  • WordPress core, plugin and theme updates
  • Compatibility checks after updates
  • Backup and restore-readiness checks
  • Broken page, form and layout investigation
  • Minor content and configuration changes
  • Basic performance and reliability checks

Technical troubleshooting

  • White screens, PHP errors and server errors
  • Plugins that stop working correctly
  • Contact forms that do not deliver email
  • SSL, DNS, hosting and domain problems
  • Slow website investigation
  • Problems following a hosting or PHP upgrade
Already dealing with an urgent or confusing website problem? We can examine the current setup before recommending a rebuild or migration.

WordPress maintenance without a large agency retainer

Many small businesses do not need a large digital agency. They need someone dependable who can keep the website working, answer technical questions and step in when something breaks.

Our WordPress maintenance service is designed for businesses that already have a website but do not have an in-house developer. The website may have been created by a freelancer, an agency, a previous employee or someone who is no longer available.

We do not insist on rebuilding a website simply because it was created by another developer. We first review the existing setup, understand how it works and identify which issues genuinely need attention.

This approach can be particularly useful when:

  • Your previous developer is no longer responding
  • Your agency contract has become too expensive
  • Routine updates are being postponed
  • Nobody knows whether backups are working
  • The website has small problems that keep accumulating
  • You need occasional developer support rather than a new website

For websites with uncertain ownership, access or technical history, start with our Website Takeover Check. It provides a practical view of the website, hosting, access, backups and immediate risks before ongoing work begins.

What our WordPress care plans can include

Preventative maintenance

We help reduce avoidable problems by keeping important software updated, checking backups and watching for obvious technical risks.

Updates are handled with care because installing every available update without checking compatibility can create new problems.

Developer support when needed

When a form, plugin, checkout, page or integration stops behaving correctly, you have a technical partner who can investigate it.

You do not have to begin a new search for a developer every time the website needs attention.

Hosting and infrastructure help

WordPress problems are not always caused by WordPress. We can also help investigate hosting, PHP, databases, DNS, SSL certificates, redirects and email-delivery settings.

Small improvements

Depending on your support plan, available time can also be used for minor content changes, layout corrections, tracking adjustments and practical website improvements.

How the WordPress support process works

1. Tell us what you need

Explain the current problem, the work you have been postponing or the kind of ongoing support you are looking for.

2. We review the current setup

We confirm the relevant website, hosting and administrative access and identify any immediate limitations or risks.

3. We agree on priorities

You receive a practical recommendation based on what the website actually needs—not a generic list of services.

4. Work begins

We handle the agreed maintenance, troubleshooting or improvement tasks and keep you informed in clear language.

Frequently asked questions

Can you maintain a website built by another developer?

Yes. Most support work begins with an existing website. We first review the setup, access and technical condition before making changes.

Do we need to move our hosting?

Not necessarily. We can usually work with your current hosting provider. A migration is recommended only when there is a clear technical or commercial reason.

Can you help with WooCommerce?

Yes. We support WordPress websites using WooCommerce, including store configuration, technical errors, checkout problems, integrations and maintenance.

Which countries do you work with?

FNO Services Europe is based in Portugal and works remotely with businesses in the UK, Europe and other international markets. GBP prices are shown for convenience, while EUR and international quotations are also available.

Do we have to sign a long agency contract?

Our service is designed as a practical alternative to a large agency arrangement. The appropriate plan and scope are confirmed before work begins.

Can you help if the website is already broken?

Yes. Provide as much information as possible about the error and when it started. We will assess whether it can be handled as standard support or requires urgent technical work.
